RICHMOND — Richmond International Airport (RIC) recently announced new nonstop service to Hamilton, Bermuda, launching June 7.
According to airport officials, this new service is the airport’s first international route and “offers a convenient and efficient way to experience Bermuda’s stunning pink sand beaches, world-class golf courses, and vibrant culture—all just a two-hour flight away.”
“We enthusiastically welcome BermudAir to Virginia’s Capital Region,” said Perry J. Miller, president and CEO of the Capital Region Airport Commission. “This news — RIC’s first international route in more than a decade — is historic. RIC applauds BermudAir for having the vision to see the demand for convenient nonstop access to a premier international destination like Bermuda. We anticipate this route will be popular with Richmonders and, in turn, invite Bermudians to enjoy Southern hospitality across the Richmond region.”
The airline says that the routs will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays aboard BermudAir’s Embraer aircraft. The airline also says that travelers will be provided with a premium experience that embodies Bermuda’s warm and welcoming hospitality, making every flight feel like the start of an island escape.
