NEWPORT NEWS — The Preventing Animal Cruelty club at the Hampton Roads Academy Upper School recently donated a bus full of pet supplies to two shelters in North Carolina.

Students, parents and local businesses donated food, blankets, toys and other items to the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina in Greenville and the Craven-Pamlico Animal Services in New Bern, according to a news release form the school.

HRA faculty members drove the bus to North Carolina last weekend and “personally delivered” the supplies to the shelters.
