Dunkin’ Donuts and Krispy Kreme are treating Hampton Roads to a free donut on National Donut Day.
All day on June 1, Dunkin’ Donuts guests can select a free classic donut of their choice with the purchase of any beverage, according to a news release from the company.
Krispy Kreme is offering a free donut on Friday as well, according to their website.
The offer is good while supplies last.
Traditionally celebrated on the first Friday of June, the day of donut commemoration was originally established in 1938 by the Chicago Salvation Army to honor women who served donuts to soldiers during World War I, according to the news release.
