There’s going to be a lot of pride later in June in Hampton

HAMPTON — The pride festival is returning here for the fourth year.

The Hampton Pride Festival will take place from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on June 27 at the Historic Hampton Carousel.

This year’s rendition includes hors d’oeuvres by local Hampton restaurants, a live DJ, a raffle contest and a complimentary drink ticket to the first 300 guests.

The parade itself is free and open to the public. Parking will be available throughout Downtown Hampton, according to a news release from the city’s visitors bureau.

The second annual Drag Down the River Boat Cruise on the Miss Hampton II will also take place on June 27 in partnership with the pride festival.

The event highlighted by drag queens, music and dancing is $10 per person with all proceeds going toward the LGBT Life Center.
