NEWPORT NEWS — An overnight crash in the 12600 block of Jefferson Avenue resulted in one death, according to police.
The victim has not been identified but police say it was a man.
At 1:30 a.m. on Friday, the driver struck a power box and was ejected from his white 2006 Nissan Altima. Police said speed was a factor.
The Newport News Police Department Crash Team Unit is investigating the crash.
