YORK COUNTY— At approximately 5:23 p.m. this afternoon, personnel from the York County Department of Fire and Life Safety were dispatched to the report of a vehicle fire at 7602 George Washington Memorial Highway (Route 17), the location of Peninsula Heavy Duty, a diesel engine repair business located in the Grafton area of York County.
The department said that upon arrival, crews discovered multiple vehicles on fire in the storage yard behind the business. Firefighters quickly brought the situation under control, with the fire reported extinguished shortly after 6:00 p.m. Multiple York County Fire and Life Safety units responded to assist. No damage to the building was reported, and no injuries occurred.
The department added that the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
