YORK COUNTY — Residents and staff at York Post Acute, a local skilled nursing facility, celebrated Law Enforcement Appreciation Day with a visit from members of the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office Jan. 9.
During the visit, residents got to spend time with Sheriff’s office deputies, share stories, take photos, and present them with thank you gifts created by them and the staff.
“Just like our healthcare teams, law enforcement professionals work every day to keep people safe and supported. Today was a small way for us to recognize their service and say how much they truly mean to our community,” Carter Stulen, York Post Acute Administrator, said.
Staff of the facility also noted that the interaction was heartfelt and showcased the bond that is formed between local law enforcement and the senior community.
