WILLIAMSBURG— Heritage Humane Society is inviting the community to step into the warmth of the season as it celebrates the 25th anniversary of its Holiday Bazaar, returning Saturday, Nov. 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bruton Parish Hall in Colonial Williamsburg’s Merchants Square.
The bazaar, which Heritage describes as like a scene straight from a Hallmark holiday movie, will feature fresh-baked goods, handcrafted gifts, and the joy of giving back to local homeless pets in need.
For a quarter-century, Heritage notes the Holiday Bazaar has been a Williamsburg tradition where neighbors gather to shop, celebrate, and share in the spirit of compassion. Shoppers stepping into the festivities at Bruton Parish Hall will find unique handmade crafts, holiday décor, baked goods, pet-themed treasures and exclusive raffle prizes, all donated by local artisans, restaurants, chefs and volunteers. Every dollar raised supports the pets cared for by The Heritage Humane Society.
“Seeing our Holiday Bazaar flourish after 25 years fills our Heritage Humane Society team and volunteers with gratitude for our community’s kindness,” shares Kimberly Laska, Executive Director of The Heritage Humane Society. “Every item purchased at the Holiday Bazaar is a lifeline that provides shelter, food and much-needed medical care for pets right here in Greater Williamsburg who deserve a second chance.”
To celebrate the 25th anniversary, organizers have expanded the raffles and lineup of prizes. The 25th Anniversary Celebration Package, which includes a 1.58-carat white topaz and diamond pendant set in 14k white gold from Williamsburg Jewelers, also includes tickets to Good Shot Judy’s annual New Year’s Eve party.
The Gift Card Extravaganza also returns with over 30 gift cards to local restaurants, shops and attractions.
Raffle tickets are $5 each, or for even greater chances to win, participants can opt for a Mega package for $100 or a Sampler package for $25. All Mega package purchasers will receive a Golden Ticket, which will be drawn for a special $500 American Express gift card, sponsored by Campana Waltz Commercial Real Estate West. Additionally, anyone who spends $100 or more on raffle tickets will also be entered into the Golden Ticket drawing. Winners will be announced at the Holiday Bazaar.
Raffle tickets can be purchased in advance online or at the bazaar.
During the event on Nov. 22, guests can enjoy holiday shopping, meet shelter volunteers and even get a sneak peek at a few adoptable pets. Admission is free, and all are welcome to stop by and start their holiday season.
