WILLIAMSBURG— Body Balance Yoga & Fitness hosted a ribbon-cutting Tuesday with the Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce to celebrate its new owner.

Body Balance, which touts itself as the only yoga center in town that offers both hot and non-heated classes, has had four different owners since 2005. Amanda Jackson is the new manager and owner of the studio.

Jackson’s journey began as a customer, then eventually became a teacher before taking over the business. She is RYT-200 certified by the Yoga Alliance and teaches a variety of classes, including Vinyasa Flow, Hot Yoga, Power Yoga and Gentle Restorative Yoga.

“I’m excited to be fostering this community, it’s been around for 20 years. It’s been through four different owners, I’m the fourth one, and keeping the legacy going if you will,” Jackson said at the ribbon cutting.
