WILLIAMSBURG — Frank Shatz, a Williamsburg resident and Holocaust survivor, will speak at 6:30 p.m. on March 23 at William & Mary.

Shatz survived Nazi oppression and endured forced labor. He escaped captivity and joined the anti-Nazi underground and was saved by Raoul Wallenberg in Budapest. In his presentation, the 99-year-old will share his story of survival, resilience, and resistance to keep history alive.

The event is being hosted by Chabad Williamsburg and is free and open to the public.

“This event is open to the entire community, Jewish and non-Jewish, students, and faculty. We strongly encourage our youth and even children to attend, as it offers a unique opportunity for reflection and education,” the organizers said.

After the presentation, those in attendance will have the opportunity to take photos with Frank.

Registration for the event is required and security will be present.
