WILLIAMSBURG — Busch Gardens Williamsburg (BGW) has revealed its official lineup for 2022’s Howl-O-Scream.
The theme park’s popular Halloween event starts on Friday, Sept. 9 and will continue to operate on select nights leading up to its last scheduled day on Halloween, Oct. 31.
This year’s festivities include, “[F]ive haunted Haunted Houses, five terror-tories, four sinister shows, two-party zones and unsuspecting scares awaiting their victims at every turn,” According to BGW’s official Howl-O-Scream event page.

The five haunted houses:
- KILLarney Diner
- Witch of the Woods
- Nevermore: Chapter 2 (New)
- Death Water Bayou (New)
- Inferno (New)
The five Terror-Tories:
- Meat Market
- Ripper Row
- Roaming Hack Pack
- Dead A-Head (New)
- Gorgon Gardens (New)
- Scary Tale Road (New)
The four Halloween shows:
- Jack is Back
- Phantoms of the Festhaus
- Skeletones
- Monster Stomp on Ripper Row
Six “BOOze bars and bites”:
- Barkastle Spirits – Oktoberfest
- Frost Bar – Oktoberfest
- Jack’s Nightcap – Ireland
- Back Alley Bar – England
- Pete’s Provisions – New France (New)
- Stone-Cold Spirits – Italy Gardens (New)
“The scares and haunts of Howl-O-Scream” begin at 6 p.m., according to BGW.
Other additions that were announced include two new Halloween party zones with live DJs, dancing and music. Character Photo opportunities will be available with this year’s scary Game Show Host and Howl-O-Scream’s returning Jack.
The new Pantheon Roller Coaster and other thrill rides will also be available for nighttime enjoyment.
