
YORKTOWN — Yorktown Market Days is celebrating National Farmers Market Week on Aug. 6 and Aug. 13 from 8 a.m. to noon in recognition of the impact farmers have on their communities.
The market takes place along the York River at the Riverwalk Landing in Yorktown. There is no entrance fee and free parking is available in public parking lots throughout Historic Yorktown. The market takes places rain or shine.
Over 40 local vendors will be set up at tables offering anything from seasonal produce, seafood, coffee, wine, juices, and flowers, amongst many other offerings.
The Fifes and Drums of York Town will perform on the Riverwalk Landing performance stage on Aug. 6 at 10 a.m. to kick off the special celebration. An acoustic harmony trio known as Audio Portrait will also be performing from 9 a.m. to noon.
Yorktown Market Days is a local farmer’s market that has been serving the surrounding community for 15 years. It has grown over the years and includes 34 Saturday markets in the 2022 season.
Other upcoming themed markets have been planned for the fall and holiday season including the First Responders Market, Fall Festival, Maritime Festival, Paws at the River, Harvest Festival, and Mistletoe Market.
The Yorktown Trolley also runs during Market Days from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and makes several stops throughout Historic Yorktown.
