York County Parks and Recreation to Offer Holiday Camps and Activities

YORK COUNTY — York County Parks and Recreation Department is set to host events and camps to help families with school age children during the winter break.

The two sessions of the Holiday Hoopla Camp will be offered at Conventry Elementary, 200 Owen Davis Boulevard, from Dec. 20 to 23 and Dec. 28-30. Both sessions will start at 7:30 a.m. and run to 5:30 p.m. The camp is designed for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade.

The cost for the first session will be $80 per child for York County residents, $100 for non-residents. The second session will be $65 for residents and $85 for non-residents.

To register for the camp, go to the York County Parks and Recreation page by Dec. 10.

The county is also offering a parents day out, hosted by Dare Elementary School, 300 Dare Road on Dec. 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., as well as a “Grinch’s Night Out” on Dec. 17 from 6 to 9:30 p.m. at Conventry Elementary.
