HISTORIC TRIANGLE — The Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce announced on Wednesday, Aug. 11 that it was presenting the prestigious Roll of the Drum to the City of Williamsburg, James City County and York County for work on behalf of the community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Chamber lauded the three local governments for going above and beyond what was expected in order to serve their residents and businesses during the pandemic.
“We have witnessed a tremendous amount of collaboration this past year, and our community has been made stronger as a result,” stated Terry Banez, CEO of the Greater Williamsburg Chamber. “It is a joy to express our appreciation of our local governments with this Roll of the Drum award.”

The Roll of the Drum, the Chamber’s most prestigious award, was first presented in 1967 and it recognizes an individual for outstanding work on behalf of the community, the Chamber or both.
