
WILLIAMSBURG — On Monday, May 17, Michael Williams joined Williamsburg Landing as its new Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer.
Williams previously served as the executive director and co-owner of The Southland’s Retirement Community in Front Royal and as director of business development for Commonwealth Senior Living. He spent the past seven years as the administrator at Shenandoah Valley Westminster Canterbury, which is a Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities accredited life plan community in Winchester.
He is a James Madison University alumni, receiving his education in business administration. Williams also holds licensing in nursing home administrator.
Throughout his career, Williams has served on multiple boards including the Rotary Clubs of Front Royal, Warren Memorial Hospital, and the Shenandoah Area Council of Boy Scouts.
He and his wife have relocated to Williamsburg as Williams begins this new phase of his career.
Williamsburg Landing, located at 5700 Williamsburg Landing Dr., is a not-for-profit Life Plan Community (formerly known as a Continuing Care Retirement Community), which encourages an active lifestyle for its residents while providing on-site medical care.
