Upcoming Book Groups
Turning Pages: A WRL Book Group — May 18 at 7 p.m. (Virtual)
This month, the group is discussing Deacon King Kong by James McBride. When a cranky old man shoots the neighborhood drug dealer, it unleashes a chain of events out of a Shakespearean comedy.
Real People/Real Stories: A Nonfiction Book Group — May 20 at 2 p.m. at the James City County Library
This month, the theme is royals. Read any history or biography about rulers: spend some time with the Tudors, Genghis Khan, or the Empress Cixi; read about a reign in Spain; or indulge in a gossipy tell-all about Meghan and Harry. The group will meet at 2 p.m. at the James City County Library, with a virtual option available.
In BeTWEEN the Pages Tween Book Club — May 25 at 6 p.m. (Virtual)
Come meet some fellow readers and join the conversation — virtually. For ages 9-12.
Teen Book Club — May 25 at 7 p.m. (Virtual)
This month, the group is discussing Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz. Read the suggested title or simply join to geek out about what you’re reading.
