WILLIAMSBURG – The City of Williamsburg is seeking the public’s input on options for
improvements to the Capitol Landing Road corridor.
The survey can be found at publicinput.com/CLRsurvey through 11:59 p.m. Thursday, May 6.
The public input, which will be presented to Williamsburg City Council, is one of many variables that will be considered before the detailed design work begins.
This survey is a chance for residents, business owners, and other stakeholders to inform Williamsburg of their preferences for improvements to the Capitol Landing Road corridor.
Possible improvements include replacing sidewalks, widening the roadway, accommodating for bicyclists and pedestrians, installing underground wiring, and improving street lighting.
Public input will help the city determine the scale and scope of these improvements.
Consulting engineers Kimley-Horn and Associates Inc., designers for the project, worked with the Williamsburg to develop the survey.
Redesigning Capitol Landing Road as an entrance corridor for the Williamsburg, William & Mary, and Colonial Williamsburg is on the city’s 2021-2022 Goals, Initiatives, and Outcomes.
