Got basketball skills? Shoot some hoops at this free event

Kids who love basketball might want to check out this event.

The James City County Parks and Recreation department is hosting a basketball skills event for kids on Saturday.

“The competition involves a one-minute timed drill and shots from multiple, pre-set locations around the court,” according to the JCC Parks and Recreation’s Facebook post on Monday.

The event is free and for kids ages 6 to 13 years old. You can pre-register here. 

The Jr. NBA Skills Challenge is at the Abram Frink Jr. Community Center, 8901 Pocahontas Trail on Saturday, Jan. 16 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Space is limited and pre-registration is suggested.
