Oprah Winfrey’s magazine oprahmag.com has listed Williamsburg as one of the 28 most magical Christmas towns and villages across the world.
Coming in at number nine on the list, the magazine states that Colonial Williamsburg particularly shines at Christmas time.
“Traditions abound, such as caroling by torchlight, a gun-salute display, and every home in the historic area lighting a candle in their windows—dating back to the days of the Founding Fathers,” the description continues.
The article mentions the 10 million lights, at Bush Gardens, and how the annual community Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Market Square is a must.
