Yorktown’s free outdoor concert series, Rhythms on the Riverwalk, is back this fall with five concert dates.
Rhythms on the Riverwalk will start Sept. 6 with Good Shot Judy, York County announced in a news release.
Here’s the full lineup:
- Sept. 6: Good Shot Judy will cover “some of the best songs” from the last one hundred years with a jazz, swing and big band vibe.
- Sept. 13: Little Country plays country and rock music hits during a high-energy stage show.
- Sept. 20: The Mullins Sisters play with roots in the southwest heart of the Appalachian Mountains, the group will play everything from traditional country to modern chart-toppers.
- Sept. 27: Glen Boswick and the Sound of Swing Orchestra has been around since 1977 in Hampton Roads as the “leading premiere” big band swing orchestra.
- Oct. 4: The Bobby BlackHat Band is led by Bobby Walters, a recording artist, harmonica player, vocalist, songwriter and actor from Cleveland. His band has blues musicians from Hampton Roads who play classic, modern and some original blues songs.
Rhythms on the Riverwalk is free and guests may bring blankets and lawn chairs.
Coolers are also permitted, but Carrot Tree Kitchens will be on-site selling hot dogs, brisket, barbecue and some of the restaurant’s original desserts.
Guests may park at the garage on Water Street, the York-Poquoson Courthouse, the County Administration Building, York Hall or other public lots in town.
The Yorktown Trolley will also run on some nights when a large attendance is expected.
