HAMPTON — The location here closed Jan. 23, according to the Steak ‘n Shake letter posted on the front door of the restaurant.
The chain located off Mercury Boulevard in Northampton is owned and operated by Burger Busters, a franchise company based in Virginia Beach.
Tammy Craiger, facilities and maintenance specialist for Burger Busters, initially told WYDaily the location was “permanently closed,” then retracted her statement five minutes later and hung up.
WYDaily reached out to Yianni Achilleos, director of marketing for Burger Busters, who did not respond to repeated attempts for comment.
It remains unclear why the franchise owners have the ‘Closed for Renovations’ sign at 2136 Mercury Blvd.
