On Friday morning, Virginia State Police assisted in a vehicle pursuit that ran through York County and Newport News.

At  2:13 a.m. officers suspected Antoine Mandrell Branch, 38, of driving under the influence and attempted to stop him at the entrance of Interstate 64 west at Mercury Boulevard, according to police reports.
