VIRGINIA BEACH — A 29-year-old man learned his fate Monday for forcible sodomy- victim under age 13, aggravated sexual battery and indecent liberties.
Brando Colon Jr. was ordered to serve life plus 25 years in prison for those crimes – he was convicted by a jury following a two-day trial in September 2017.
Circuit Court Judge James C. Lewis also ordered Colon to pay a fine of $20,000.
During trial, evidence presented by the Virginia Beach Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office showed that between May 10, 2015 and April 26, 2016, Colon “sexually molested a child known to him on a regular basis, multiple times per week.”
The victim told a caseworker from Child Protective Services about the abuse.
Colon, prosecutors said, “also showed the child a video with sexually explicit content.”
