Multiple offices and government buildings are closed or delayed in the wake of Tropical Storm Michael Friday morning.
Williamsburg and James City County
WJCC schools are canceled for Friday.
Waller Mill Park will be closed for damage cleanup, according to a post from Williamsburg Parks and Rec Facebook page.
WJCC courts are operating on a regular schedule.
County facilities will open on a 3-hour delay, according to James City County’s social media pages. The James City County Recreation center will remain open as scheduled.
The intersection at John Tyler Highway and Greensprings Road is closed as well as Little Creek Dam Road and Turner’s neck.
The Williamsburg Area Transit Authority buses will operate on a two-hour delay Friday morning due to debris on the roads, according to WATA’s Twitter.
The Williamsburg Regional Library will operate on a regular schedule.
York County
York County Public Schools are closed for Friday.
Most York County government offices will operate on a 2-hour delay and expected to open at 10:15 a.m. However, county offices in the finance building will be closed because of power outages, including the the Commissioner of Revenue, Treasure, Utility Billing, GIS, and Human Resources.
Online payments will not be available until power is restored.
York-Poquoson Courts are operating on a normal schedule but subject to change.
York County garbage and recycling routes began running as scheduled at 8 a.m. on Friday.
New Quarter Park is closed Friday after damage from the storm.
The Senior Center in York is closed Friday.
Circuit Court Clerk’s Office is closed but the docket will continue as scheduled.
Tabb and Yorktown libraries are operating on a normal schedule.
