Two Williamsburg residents have been indicted by a grand jury after police say they performed sexual acts in front of children.
Lisa Lucinda Moody, 27, and her boyfriend, Andre Lane, 38, are charged with indecent liberties in connection with several incidents involving children between February and July, according to Williamsburg Police reports.
At 8 a.m. on July 9, the Department of Human Services in Williamsburg gave information to police about a possible sexual assault involving two children under the age of ten, Williamsburg Police Department spokesman Maj. Greg Riley said.
In the report, human services staff said the children had told a family member that two people they knew — Moody and her boyfriend Andre Lane — had acted inappropriately and sexually in their presence multiple times between February and June 2018, Riley said.
The incidents allegedly occurred at a residence in the 300 block of North Henry Street in Williamsburg.
Police believe the acts involved both masturbation and intercourse.
The children were not involved in the acts, but police believe they were witnesses, Riley said.
On Sept. 19, police completed their investigation and presented the evidence to a grand jury in the Williamsburg-James City County Circuit Court, which indicted Lane on two counts of indecent liberties and Moody on one count of indecent liberties.
Neither Lane nor Moody had been arrested as noon Tuesday.
No future court hearings in the Williamsburg-James City County Circuit Court have been scheduled yet.
