Virginia ABC stores will be open on Labor Day, but there’s a catch

Worried about running out of libations for your Labor Day cookout?

There’s no need to fret because Virginia ABC stores will be open Monday, even though most other state offices will be shut down for the holiday.

However, you’ll be out of luck if you run out of booze after 6 p.m., because that’s when ABC stores will close for the day instead of their current weekday closing times.

Here’s a listing of the ABC stores in the Historic Triangle. Remember, they close at 6 p.m. Monday.

Williamsburg

Williamsburg Shopping Center, 1244 Richmond Rd. Hours: 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday, noon-7 p.m. Sunday.

James City County

Lightfoot Marketplace Shopping Center, 6497 Centerville Rd., Suite 306. Hours: 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday, noon-7 p.m. Sunday.

Monticello Marketplace, 4640-6 Monticello Ave. Hours: 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday, noon-7 p.m. Sunday.

Quarterpath Crossing Shopping Center, 1480-3C Quarterpath Rd. Hours: 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday, noon-7 p.m. Sunday.

York County

James-York Plaza Shopping Center, 801-F Merrimac Trail.  Hours: 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday, noon-7 p.m. Sunday.

Nelson’s Grant Shopping Center, 201 Tradesman Way, Hours: 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday, noon-6 p.m. Sunday.
