Men inside semi that plunged off bridge were from Delaware

VIRGINIA BEACH — Authorities have identified the driver and passenger of the semitrailer that plunged off the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel Friday.

Jervone Rakeem Hall, 32, was the driver, and 29-year-old Christopher Fenner was the passenger. Both were from Delaware, according to a CBBT news release.

Fenner’s body was pulled from the semi Saturday night, while Hall’s body was found 8 miles off Fisherman’s Island Sunday afternoon.

Authorities said the semi was involved in a collision with a minivan near mile marker 12 southbound at around 6:30 p.m. Friday. The occupants of the van were not seriously injured.
