Drivers on Interstate 64 should expect a series of nightly lane closures — and possibly some delays — next week.
Crews contracted by VDOT will be performing work related to the I-64 widening project between Route 199 (exit 242) and Yorktown Road (exit 247) from July 15-19.
Detour signs will be in place to direct drivers around the construction.
VDOT is also warning drivers that a new traffic pattern will be in place starting in the morning July 17. The new pattern will be at exit 243B.
Another new traffic pattern will also be in place starting the morning of July 18. The pattern is on I-64 west, started west of exit 247 and exit 243A.
