Another 19-year-old, Nazir Juell Perry, has already been arrested for his alleged role in the robbery, police spokeswoman Stephanie Williams said.
Police believe Daniel Alexander Smokes Jr., 19, and Perry met with an 18-year-old man and 19-year-old woman to sell marijuana around 1:30 p.m. June 3, Williams said.
The four met on Friendship Drive, then drove to an abandoned house on Turners Neck Road. The man tried to run away from, but Perry and Smokes chased him. The armed men then approached the woman, who was still sitting in the car, and demanded her money and cellphone at gunpoint, Williams said.
At that point, both the man and woman were able to leave the scene in the vehicle and report the incident to the police, Williams said.
Medics later treated the man for a cut on his his head.
Police issued warrants for both Perry and Smokes, whoa re charged with two counts of robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, two counts of use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, assault and two counts of brandishing a firearm.
Perry was arrested June 5, but Smokes is still at large.
Smokes is about 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weights about 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, police said. His last known address is on Algonquin Trail.
Smokes should be considered armed, police said.
