VIRGINIA BEACH — Award-winning painter Edward Obermeyer will be sharing his intricate patterns and personal style in an upcoming exhibition.
Hosted by the Sandler Center and the Office of Cultural Affairs, “Emerging Patterns” will feature Obermeyer’s detailed flora and fauna inspired pieces.
According to a news release, each piece requires a long, intricate and heavily-detailed process.
Considering that Obermeyer’s series heavily focuses on the smallest of natural objects — he must use very longliner, scroller, and pin-stripe brushes, to complete each piece, which one can imagine, involves plenty of time, patience, and dedication, according to the news release.
Emerging Patterns will officially start on July 6 and will be available to the public through Aug. 20.
The exhibition is also set to take place on the second and third floor in the Sandler Center during normal operating hours.
