Norfolk Botanical Garden will host its Annual Spring Plant Sale starting Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This year’s plant sale is inspired by The Garden’s current international exhibition LanternAsia, according to a news release.
The theme, East meets West will feature some of the best plants of Asia and North American natives “with a wide variety of rare and unusual plants.”
The event is open to the public with the exception of an exclusive early bird special for Norfolk Botanical Garden members from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. each day, according to the news release.
There are thousands of plants to choose from including easy growing perennials, hydrangeas, to Japanese maples, edibles.
The sale will also offer flowers and plants that attract pollinators. The Tidewater Butterfly Society is on-hand the entire weekend with information on creating a pollinator friendly yard. The Virginia Bonsai Society will offer free demonstrations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Visitors will find a wide variety of plants from the rare and unusual to the proven winners for Coastal Virginia, according to the news release.
The entrance to the sale is free with Garden admission.
Garden horticulture staff are available to answer questions and provide expert advice to guests.
