The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office is working to identify a suspect in an armed robbery on Second Street early Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities were called to the Hardee’s, located at 538 Second Street, just after 12:30 p.m. Wednesday for an armed robbery, according to York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Shelley Ward.

The victim told deputies a man she knew robbed her in the parking lot. The man showed her a handgun that was in his waistband and took an undisclosed amount of cash from her, Ward said.

According to police, this is not the first time the victim has been targeted by the suspect. Police say he had robbed her before.

At 3:20 p.m., two investigators were still on scene interviewing the victim, working to identify the man and find him.

No suspects were in custody by 3:20 p.m., Ward said.
