With “Yellow Submarine,” “Abbey Road” and “The White Album,” the Beatles took the world by storm, and a tribute show in Williamsburg is looking to do the same at the Kimball Theatre.
Williamsburg non-profit Culture Fix announced a Beatles tribute concert at the Kimball Theatre on March 10.
The first tribute concert of 2018 will feature bands such as the Folly, Skinner Box, Matt Thomas and Kim Person playing the British band’s music.
“We always like to include people in the show that are able to give a little education about the performers, artists and songwriters that the public might not normally know,” concert organizer Shirley Vermillion said. “We try to keep it fresh.”
Norfolk-based artist Todd Owens will paint two paintings on stage during the concert. Both paintings will be auctioned off at the end of the show to benefit Culture Fix.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and tickets can be purchased for $20 in advance.
Beer and wine will be available for purchase at the show, which is expected to finish by 10 p.m. that evening, Vermillion said.
