Municipal offices and courts to close on President’s Day

President’s day may bring closures of most local government offices, but trash pick up will still occur in Greater Williamsburg.

Presidents Day is Feb. 19 and many government offices throughout Greater Williamsburg will be closed.

Here’s what to expect for closures in Greater Williamsburg:

James City County

County offices and courts will be closed.

The Little Creek Reservoir Park Store/Office, the James City County Marina Store/Office and the Chickahominy Riverfront Park Store/Office will also be closed.

Libraries, parks, convenience centers and the Garbage Transfer Station will be open.

The JCC Recreation Center, the Abram Frink Jr. Community Center and the Freedom Park Store Office will also be open during regular business hours.

York County

County offices, courts and libraries will be closed.

York-Poquoson Social Services and the Waste Management Center Administrative Offices will also be closed.

The Virginia Cooperative Extension will be open.

Garbage and recycling pickup will not be affected by the holiday nor will the drop-off facilities at the Waste Management Center be affected.

City of Williamsburg

City offices will be closed, along with Quarterpath Recreation Center and the Williamsburg James City County Courthouse.

The Williamsburg Regional Library will be open during regular operating hours.

Waller Mill Park will be open from 8 a.m.-6 p.m.

Garbage will be collected as scheduled.
