VIDEO: Police seek man who stole liquor from Lightfoot ABC store

James City County Police are searching for a man who stole a bottle of alcohol from a local Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control store.

The man entered the ABC store in Lightfoot Marketplace, located near the intersection of Lightfoot and Richmond roads, around 4 p.m. Jan. 29, according to a James City County Police news release.

The man concealed a bottle of liquor under his clothes, then left the parking lot in an older-model gray minivan, police said.

Surveillance cameras at the ABC store caught the incident on video.

The video released by police shows an older white man wearing glasses, a blue baseball cap, a gray jacket and blue jeans walking in the ABC store.

The man then takes a small bottle of alcohol off a shelf and slips it into one of his pockets.

Anyone able to identify the person in the video, or who knows anything about the incident, should contact the James City County Police Department at 757-253-1800 or text/email tips@jamescitycountyva.gov.

Those with information can also contact the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Callers to the Crime Line may remain anonymous, do not have to testify in court and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 if the information leads to an arrest.
