Children with a passion for basketball will have the chance put their skills on display, and even compete in a regional competition.
The NBA Skills Competition will be held at 10 a.m. Sat., Feb. 3 at the James City County Recreation Center on Longhill Road, according to a county Parks and Recreation press release.
Residents and nonresidents of the county are eligible to participate.
Participants will be asked to show their skills when it comes to dribbling, rebounding and shooting. The top three finishers in each age group will be able to compete in the regional finals in Charlotte, N.C. later this spring.
The winner of the regional competition will be awarded an all-expenses paid trip to the national finals in New York City in June, where they’ll be able to participate in special events, hang out with NBA and WNBA stars and even attend the 2018 NBA Draft.
To sign up, go to the county’s Parks and Recreation website or call 757-259-4200.
