VIRGINIA BEACH — A Virginia Beach woman died Wednesday after her house caught fire on Allman Court.
The Virginia Beach Fire Department identified the victim as 70-year-old Sandra Daniels, who died after she was pulled from the blaze at the home on the 1600 block of Allman Court.
Crews were called to the scene at around 1:44 p.m. When they arrived minutes later, “heavy smoke” was pouring out of the single-family home. VBFD said Daniels was found inside and removed from the house.
Although medics were able to resuscitate and transport her to a local hospital, she later died.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
