VIRGINIA BEACH — 9:00 a.m. update: A traffic crash on I-265 near Rosemont Road was cleared around 8:15 a.m., according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
7:00 a.m.: update: Drivers who typically take I-264 may want to find an alternate route this morning.
The Virginia Department of Transportation tweeted that a crash on I-264 has blocked two westbound left lanes near Rosemont Road, causing a backup to Lynnhaven Parkway.
As of 6:30 a.m., the backup was 2 miles long — and VDOT has cautioned drivers to expect “major delays.”
