NORFOLK — A dog grooming business that has spent four decades serving pet owners in Ghent will be celebrating the opening of its second location.
Groomingdale’s will be opening its doors in at 110 La Valette Ave. on Tuesday.
Groomingdale’s owner Chrystal Ward said she began partnering with Eggleston Services around a month ago to bring the dog grooming business to the Riverview area.
According to Ward, her business will be under the same roof as Let’s Go Pet Care, a division of Eggleston that specializes in pet care home pet care.
“We’re excited. The partnership has been really pleasant,” she said. “I didn’t know too much about Eggleston before but when they reached to us about the partnership I learned a lot. They are a wonderful company.”
According to Ward, both businesses will provide their services at the location.
While Groomingdale’s will officially open for business on Tuesday, Ward said the business will host a grand-opening celebration on Sunday to give customers an opportunity to meet the staff and enjoy prizes, deals, and free services.
The event will run from noon to 4 p.m. and will feature food, free nail trimming for pets, face painting, and raffles for gift certificates.
Groomingdale’s in Riverview will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
