A 23-year-old man has been arrested after police say he exposed himself and masturbated in front of women in public twice, including once in the Walmart Neighborhood Market parking lot.
James City County Police responded to the Walmart Neighborhood Market parking lot around 4:20 p.m. Oct. 6 after a woman reported there was a man parked next to her masturbating in a vehicle, police spokeswoman Stephanie Williams said.
Police found Zachary Lee Taylor, of James City County, in the parking lot with an “odor of marijuana” around his person and vehicle, police said.
Police searched his car and found a bag containing marijuana, Williams said.
Police arrested Taylor, took him into custody and charged him with two counts of indecent exposure and possession of marijuana, Williams said.
Police also believe Taylor was involved in another indecent exposure incident two days earlier. A woman called police around 5:40 p.m. Oct. 4 to report a man had exposed himself after asking for directions.
The woman said she was on Neck-o-land Road when a man drove up and asked for directions. When the woman approached his car, he exposed himself and began masturbating, police said.
Police were not able to find the man, but said the vehicle description and other personal identifiers match in both the Walmart and Neck-o-land incidents.
Taylor is scheduled to appear in the Williamsburg-James City County General District Court at 8:31 a.m. Oct. 24.
Taylor is currently in custody, according to online court records.
