NORFOLK — Old Dominion University’s Monarch football team will play a Friday evening home game against Western Kentucky on Oct. 20, impacting traffic for those traveling to and from downtown Norfolk between 3:30 p.m. and the 6 p.m. kickoff.
Travelers should also expect heavy volumes of traffic on Hampton Boulevard from downtown Norfolk to Naval Station Norfolk. It is advised to use alternative routes instead of Hampton Boulevard. Please be extra cautious during commutes.
If attending the game, tailgate lots open at 3:30 p.m. Early arrival is suggested. General public parking will be available on the campus of Old Dominion University in garages B, C and D.
To avoid gameday congestion on Hampton Boulevard, alternate routes are encouraged.
