Williamsburg residents and visitors should expect road closures and delays near the Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg from Oct. 11-24.

The City of Williamsburg will be closing parts of South Nassau and Court streets for underground utility work, which will coincide with Colonial Williamsburg’s art museum expansion project, according to a city news release.

The closures and traffic control will run from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., the release said.

Detour signs will be placed along Francis Street, South Henry Street and Newport Avenue to direct drivers around the work zone, the release said.

The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation is also working to notify motorcoach and tour groups about the closures.
