NORFOLK — Are you Navy proud?
Now you can show your U.S. Navy pride via a free yard sign that reads: “Norfolk Navy Proud 100 Years.”
The signs are part of a city initiative to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of Naval Station Norfolk, which was built on Sewells Point in 1917. The celebration will include the U.S. Navy’s Fleet Fest on Oct. 21, which will feature ship tours, aircraft displays, military demonstrations, a beer garden and a chili cook-off, according to a Naval Station Norfolk press release.
