An Amtrak sale ending Thursday will make traveling by train along the East Coast a good bit cheaper.
The train service is offering discounted fare along its Northeast Regional line, which serves Richmond, the City of Williamsburg, all the way down to Virginia Beach.
In a sale that ends Thursday, Amtrak is offering discounted fares between “pair” cities along the line. For example, a one-way trip from Richmond to New York is priced at $49.
One-way train fare from Richmond to New York typically ranges from $73 to $230, depending on the date and time of travel.
The deal is valid for travel between Oct. 17 and Nov. 16 of this year.
