NORFOLK — A downtown restaurant will be making its television debut this week.
The Grilled Cheese Bistro will be featured on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives hosted by Guy Fieri Friday night.
The eatery, located on 345 Granby Street, served Fieri during the spring.
The grilled cheese spot announced on Facebook Tuesday afternoon that it would be featured in one of the show’s latest episode scheduled to air at the end of the week.
According to owner Dina Taylor, she is excited to see all the work she and her staff put in at the restaurant put on display by the Food Network.
“I feel really proud of our bistro,” she said. “It’s been booming ever since the doors opened so I’m extremely grateful and excited. I was really excited to have the food network at the bistro.”
The episode, titled “Ocean Coasts and Great Lakes” will air on the Food Network on six different days.
To celebrate the event, Grilled Cheese Bistro will be serving a Lobster Mac & Cheese Grilled Cheese special throughout the weekend.
According to Taylor, she will also be screening the initial airing at the Bistro on Friday.
