Paws at the River Pet Day will unite pet lovers and animals in need of a home at Riverwalk Landing Saturday.
The third annual Paws at the River is intended to raise awareness for animal rescue organizations and find homes for animals up for adoption, according to a press release from York County. The Paws at the River is a part of Yorktown Market Days and will be held between 8 a.m. and noon on Sept. 9.
Guests are invited to bring their pets, including dogs, cats, lizards and birds.
Vendors will be selling pet-related goods and services. Painted rocks and stained glass depicting various animals will be for sale.
West Village Bakery will sell locally-sourced animal treats as well as all-natural products that are made to help pets with anxiety.
Pet owners can also pick up information about neutering their pets. Rescue and animal welfare organizations that will be in attendance include:
