Colonial Williamsburg hosted an unusual celebrity-sponsored guest recently. Seven-year-old Macey Hensley has been traveling the country in an RV with her family thanks to The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Hensley made a visit to Colonial Williamsburg where she sported a tricorner hat and spent a day with Martha Washington.
The sprite 7-year-old spoke with Colonial Williamsburg’s interpreters about obscure historical facts and even tries to explain computers and printers to Thomas Jefferson.
“We could have printed thousands of copies of the Declaration that way,” young Thomas Jefferson responded.
“I do like the Declaration,” Hensley said while taking a drink from a silver goblet. “But I think you need to say all men and women are created equal.”
The video of the visit has more than 12,000 views in less than four hours and more than 130 shares on Facebook.
The visit to Colonial Williamsburg is part of a campaign sponsored by Go RVing, according to The Ellen DeGeneres Show website. Hensley is visiting historic landmarks across the country, the website said.
