The City of Williamsburg is warning motorists on Second Street to slow down and be careful while road projects are underway this upcoming week.
The city and Dominion Energy will be working on an underground wiring project along Second Street between Monday, Aug. 21 and Thursday, Aug. 24, according to a news release from the City of Williamsburg.
As a result of project-related work, one lane of Second Street may be closed at a time.
The release urges motorist to be prepared for changes in traffic patterns and a reduced speed limit in the work area.
The project is expected to be completed in the first three months of 2018, although this is subject to change depending on weather conditions, the release said.
