Dance the night away at the 15th annual Norfolk Latino Music Festival

NORFOLK — On Saturday, Town Point Park will host the 15th annual Norfolk Latino Music Festival, a celebration of Latin music, culture and local businesses.

The event is free and open to anyone.

From 5-10 p.m., there will be dancing from a variety of styles including salsa, bolero, cumbia, guaguanco and merinque. Attendees will be able to sample Latin food and drinks, including alcohol.

Orquesta Mayor, a Charlotte-based, 11-member salsa band, will headline the event with DJ Nava opening. The Music starts at 6 p.m.

“The Latino Music Festival is a great opportunity for us to come together and celebrate the rich and diverse Latino cultures represented in Hampton Roads, as well as to create an environment where local entrepreneurs, organizations, and companies can showcase goods, and services, and expertise to a wide audience, while enjoying wonderful music and great food under the stars,” Hampton Roads Hispanic Chamber of Commerce President Olga Torres said in a press release.

The event was organized by the and Norfolk Festevents. Town Point Park is located on the waterfront in Norfolk between Nauticus and the Waterside District.
