Police seek man wanted for threatening to burn down house

Police are looking for a man who they believe threatened to burn down a house in the Tabb area of York County.

The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office has obtained arrest warrants for Brandon Codey Stokes, 30, for threats to bomb or damage a building and revocation of suspended sentence and probation, sheriff’s office spokeswoman Shelley Ward said.

Ward said Stokes allegedly threatened to burn down the house around 9 a.m. Monday morning due to a “domestic situation.” Three people live inside the house.

Stokes’ last known address is in Newport News.
